lic. CECILIA TOFANARI

Cecilia Tofanari was born in Buenos Aires - Argentina the 21st. of October of 1965. She is a Libra, her pupils call her "The Argentine Louise Hay" as she is the only discipule who represents Louise Hay's philosophy in Argentina.

Her childhood developed in an italian origin family, with rooted and strong habits and patterns. Her grandparents and forefathers were all immigrant italians, who running away from war and poverty reigning in Europe came "To get the America" ("Fare l'America" -in italian) as much as others. 

The house of her childhood is in the middle of what we call Villa Ortúzar, Agronomía and Paternal as the neighbourhood is not clearly defined and where her parents still live now. The house was built by her great grandfather, called affectionately "The little old grandfather" who had became the house in a neighbour club so that he could afford the upbringuing of her 9 children (one of them was my grandmother) and to pay for the building materials, years later was the home of all his kids, and many of his grandsons and great grandsons, when the club sttoped the activities. 

The beliefs were based in lack and sacrificing jobs, in scarcity thinking about the outer world, it have been formed a real familiar clan contitution, as many in that time, where it was accepted just who follow the same rules, those who wanted to join the family "from outside", a boyfriend of any of the daughters for example, were put to the test judging and critizicing them to repletion so that them could be "perfect" like the family. If them passed on the test and it was - "to do everything as the family wants and say" - so that they could be at peace, then they were permitted to enter the clan. Trust and confidence was based in the remaining inside the "nest", outside it was dangerous. Love and affection were demonstrated by "to take care of you" talking about fears and insecurities that life had to offer, but never a hug or a kiss or an encouraging word. On the contrary, just criticism, because they believe that telling you everything you did wrong was "to help", never something more mistaken. They were treated the same way too, as all parents.

Cecilia and her brother grew up below the care of their parents and their great uncles and aunts in this, "the big house", so-called by those who leave. Therefore, growing up in a normal upbringuing, there were "things" that without her knowing consciously, undermine and weaken her personality and she became a frightened, fragile, with complex, insecure, sad and very low self-esteem child and teenager. 

She lived these two important periods of her life in the middle of sick relatives, who began to die one after another because they were old ages, from previous generations of her mother that had lived with them in the same house. To quote some of the maladies: Diabetes, arteriosclerosis, muscular dystrophy , hemiplegias, cáncer; there were so many sons that the situation was very varied and added to this, as her mother was very responsible, maybe to heal her guilt for living in her parents home, decided to take care of all of them (the sick people), in that time people were not fond of retirement home or nurses at home. Then Cecilia had a mother very busy taking care of the sick, so when most of them died, not casually and unconsiously Cecilia became phobic, a big and limiting one, in that time, the 80's, was not known as today, Panick Attack with Agoraphobia, which is mainly terrible - inminent fear of death when outside among other things, and between so much illnesses and death it was not casual. Now her mother had to take care of her and so she did many years, going with her everywhere Cecilia needed to go and to her psychoteraphy. 

In spite of that, Cecilia could go on with her life and one day appeared in her house the book "You Can Heal Your Life" from the author Louise L. Hay, she didn't know until later that the owner of the book was Natalia, her present sister-in-law, that was her brother's girlfriend at that moment. She began to read it and eagerly practiced the exercises and she could prove the positive and beneficious changes in her life. She coud leave her mother's companionship to replace her by a therapeutic companion, a big goal for her, and then she dated and married her present husband Ricardo, "Ricky", "Ri", "Nicky", "Gordi" are the familiar affectionate nicknames for this wonderful man who is sharing her life for 17 years now, Besides she became a more secure and confident person each day, the mirror work was the most important practice that helped her to gain self-esteem, so much that she stopped to be interested in what others thought about her, and she learnt that through forgiveness she could say what she thought without thinking that others would not love her anymore, or that she will be "outside" their lives, as "the big house" beliefs said, she could accept her body as it was, and this low the complex she had and stopped thinking in the nose operation, that was her biggest complex. She stopped doing what others wanted she to do, knowing that if they didn´t agree with her, they would go out of her life quietly to let room for other people interested in loving her as she was.

Atfter became a Louise Hay "fan", checking every month what new book she has released, it came the time of the computers, the e-mail and the Internet. Cecilia could have access to all this new technology only through her job (the company where she was working at that time), all of this was new, and a co-worker, "fan" of Louise too, with whom Cecilia shared long talks about the subjet, told her that Louise Hay had a website and she run to visit it, and it was such an excitement to her that she didn't almost see that they were offering a seminar certificating peoplo who wanted to spread this philosophy around the world. In that very moment she said to herself: "I am NOT going to stop until I travel to San Diego and do this seminar and besides to meet Louise herself", so it was that from that moment she did affirmations to achieve to save the money to travel, and so she did, and the beginning of what she thought as a self-improvement idea, it ended in a transformation of consciousness that appeared after the two or three days of the seminar, that her heart told her: "How many people, like you, who are fighting to improve the quality of their lives and to be happier every day, could you help through your certification !!!" so the desicion was done, Cecilia was going to dedicate herself to help the people of her dear Argentina.

Shyly after her transformational return. she began to give free talks, to present workshops, to do marketing, to write articles for magazines and newspapers about the subject. Who will imagine that this shy and with a lot of complex former teen-ager was talking in front of such a lot of people !!! But there she was slowly but surely, the new Cecilia giving people what they were asking for at the top of ther voices: "TO BE HEARD".

The next year she went back to Hawaii to receive the Louise Hay Advanced Teacher Training, this is the previous step to be The Teacher-Teacher Louise Hay Certified Trainer. The most important Louise Hay Certification that soon will be given to her. 

After some years of trajectory, in which she was awarded and invited to lecture in neighbor countries and in some argentine provinces, Cecilia decided it was time to improve herself even more, people needed more material, so she decided to go to college to graduate as a Psychologist at the age of 37 so that she could join the preventive, complementary Louise Hay's philosophy with the scientist therapy, Psychology. 

Now Cecilia lives with her husband in her beloved Villa del Parque neighbour and spend her time teaching as a Louise Hay Teacher and at college and her family.

Lic. Cecilia Tofanari LHCT  (Louise Hay Certified Teacher) was trained in San Diego, California and in Kauai Island, Hawaii by Patricia Crane, PH.D., under the guide and supervision of the author and internationally well-known Dr. Louise L. Hay.
